Team and ART PI Objectives 1.0.1

Solution Overview

Team and ART PI Objectives help align the efforts of multiple teams within an Agile Release Train. They ensure that all teams are working towards a common set of goals and objectives during a specific Planning Interval.

The solution enables ART PI Objectives and Team PI Objectives with a possibility to connect Features to ART PI Objectives and Features, User Stories and Bugs to Team PI Objective.

For each Team PI Objective you can define the following details:

• Planned BV  – defines the Planned Business Value of this Objective
• Actual BV – defines the Actual Business Value of this Objective
• Committed – defines if the Objective is committed or not

Team PI Objective Progress can be calculated using one of the following approach:

• Based on Count of related work items (Features, User Stories and Bugs)
• Based on Effort of related work items (Features, User Stories and Bugs)

ART PI Objective Progress can be calculated using one of the following approach:

• Based on Count of related work items (Features)
• Based on Effort of related work items (Features)
• Based on Team PI Objective progress

Solution Configuration

Rename PI

Before installing the solution, please, rename Release (Program Increment) into Planning Interval.

Adjust PI Objective Quick Add 

When the solution is installed you'll see all Planning Intervals in PI Objective Quick Add. To narrow the list down and see only the respective ART Planning Intervals, you need to adjust PI Objectives Quick Add. To do that:

• Go to Settings -> Quick Add
• Select Team PI Objective and ART PI Objectives entities one by one
• Delete Planning Interval
• Add a configurable drop-down for Planning Interval
