Solution Planning Interval Overview
The Solution Planning Interval represents a regular, time-boxed period (usually 8 to 12 weeks) during which the organization plans, aligns, and coordinates its efforts to deliver solutions that meet customer needs and strategic objectives. During this interval, different Agile Teams collaborate to define and refine the Features, Epics (Capabilities), and User Stories that will be developed and delivered in the upcoming Planning Interval (PI).
Solution Overview
The solution enables Solution Planning Intervals, a group of ART Planning Intervals. After installing the solution, you'll see a new folder Solution Planning Intervals in the left menu.
Solution Planning Intervals, ART Planning Intervals, and Team Iterations will be automatically generated after installation. Solution Planning Intervals will be generated for all the Periods for all the Solution Trains, Agile Release Trains, and Teams in the system.
On the Solution Planning Intervals Roadmap view, you can see the schedule of Solution Planning Intervals.
On a Solution Planning Interval view, you can see what Planning Intervals and Work Items (Epics (Capabilities), Features, User Stories, and Bugs) are related to it.
