How to rename Role in Assignments?

It is possible to assign users to any work item in Targetprocess. The list of Roles in the Assignments area can be customized. This article describes how to rename one of the existing Roles.

Above, we see the QA Engineer role and would like to rename it Verifier.

Rename Role Globally

The list of Roles in the system is global. Once you rename a Role, the update affects all users, Projects, and Processes in your Targetprocess system. To rename an existing Role use the guide for Administrators: How to configure Roles.

Rename Roles in One Project Only

When you build a new Process and start new Project you may prefer to keep the settings of Roles in your Process separate from existing ones. In this case follow these steps:

1. Add new custom Roles to the system: How to configure Roles
2. Clone one of the existing Processes or create a new Process from scratch
3. Create a new Project following the new Process
4. In the Workflow settings of your new Process, replace existing Roles with your new custom ones: How to add and remove Roles in Assignments?
