Use Annotations in Targetprocess Visual Reports to highlight important thresholds and milestones.
For example: if you're looking at number of bugs per release, you can create a colored line on your chart that marks the point at which you will have an unacceptable amount of bugs. Annotations can be added to both the vertical and horizontal axes.
The settings can be configured by owner of the report or by administrator of your system.
To customize settings open the Set up Report editor. Click the green field label on an axis. A popup with field settings appears.
Annotations can be used when there is a need to highlight some important numbers, for example, a critical bugs count:
Milestones can be added to the date axis to highlight important dates:
Dynamic Annotations
Our latest release allows you to create dynamic annotations. You can also use a subset of numeric calculations when creating annotations with in-chart data. We have added the Process Control by Lead and Cycle templates to demonstrate how this can be used.
The following math and statistical functions are available for numeric annotations:
SUM(numerical expression)
Returns the sum of a series of numbers.
AVG(numerical expression)
Returns the average of a series of numbers.
MIN(numerical expression)
Returns the minimum of a series of numbers.
MAX(numerical expression)
Returns the maximum of a series of numbers.
MEDIAN(numerical expression)
Returns the the number in the middle of a set of numbers.
STDEV(numerical expression)
Returns the the number in the middle of a set of numbers.
